Net pension calculator: Italy and Slovakia

Enter the gross amount of your pension and see straight away how much national IRPEF applies to it in tax year 2026, with the pension income tax credit already applied. Next to it you will find the comparison with Slovakia, which is not a second calculation but a conditional assessment: it shows zero tax only where the exemption can in principle apply.

The calculation runs entirely in your browser. No sign-up is needed, we ask for no contact details, and no amount is sent or stored unless you choose to attach it to an enquiry.

You can also type the amount in Italian format, for example 5.000,00.

Period of the amount
Number of instalments

Choose the item matching your situation. This choice alone does not establish any entitlement.

Is the amount you know gross or net?

The calculation always starts from the gross amount. If you only know the net figure, we do not estimate the gross with a percentage: the annual gross taxable amount appears on your Certificazione Unica (CU) or on your pension slip, under taxable income. If you cannot find it, write to us and we will look for it together.

What the calculation covers and what it does not

  • It covers national IRPEF with the 23%, 33% and 43% brackets and the pension income tax credit.
  • It does not cover regional and municipal surtaxes, which depend on the municipality and region and which you can add manually.
  • It assumes a single pension income, received for the whole year, with no other credits, deductions or special regimes.
  • It does not consider supplementary pensions, private annuities or income other than the pension.
  • It does not account for living costs, housing or the cost of the service, which is individual and quoted on request.

Why the Slovak comparison is conditional

Any absence of tax in Slovakia does not come from a reduced rate but from the interaction between the double taxation treaty and the exemption provided by Slovak law for compulsory insurance benefits. That is why choosing a pension type in the calculator confirms no entitlement: it only shows which assessment applies to your case.
